The China Materials Conference 2024 and the 2nd World Materials Conference were successfully held in Guangzhou from July 8th to 11th, 2024. As an annual event of the Chinese Society for Materials Research, the "China Materials Conference" is a top academic event in the field of new materials in China, attracting over 10000 experts and scholars with its extensive disciplinary coverage and latest cutting-edge developments. The A07 Interface Evaporation Materials and Devices Branch of this conference is hosted by the Chinese Society for Materials Research and co organized by Guangxi University, Northeastern University, Nanjing University, Hainan University, and Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology. It focuses on cutting-edge technologies and major national needs, and is committed to promoting innovation and development in the field of new materials.

The conference invited Professor Wang Ruzhu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Qu Liangti from Tsinghua University, Professor Zhu Jia from Nanjing University, Professor Wang Peng from Sun Yat sen University, and Professor Xu Haolan from the University of South Australia to give keynote speeches. In addition, 20 experts will give invited presentations, 36 representatives of attending scholars will give oral presentations, and 46 scholars will present posters. The conference covers various aspects such as the evaporation mechanism of solar thermal interfaces, materials and devices, intelligent photothermal control, and solar photocatalysis, radiating throughout the country and connecting the world. The attending scholars had in-depth discussions on cutting-edge scientific issues, key technological developments, and international cooperation and exchanges. The atmosphere at the venue was lively, and the collision of ideas was exciting and diverse.
